Time to get spooky!!

Seymour Helping Hands loves October and all the Halloween fun. We want you to join in the fun with us. With our two upcoming events- Halloween Wars and the Pumpkin Project!

SHH- The Pumpkin Project is returning in 2023!!

The Pumpkin Project is a multi-phased process.

Step 1- Youth at the elementary school are provided a picture to color.

Step 2- SHH volunteers will go to the Senior area on October 21st and meet with all households. We will explain the project and offer to hang a picture in the door or window so that youth can see it on Halloween. We also try to help those who want to participate but cannot afford candy.

Step 3- Halloween night we will meet with our volunteers and members of the community at the Meals on Wheels building starting at 515pm. At 530pm we will escort youth through the Senior Citizen area so that they can trick or treat safely. They will only knock on doors that have the pictures listed and we will monitor to ensure that the youth are safe in the road as well as walking on sidewalks and not in flower beds, etc
