SHH Board Members




Recently, we have been asked about who we are and I would like to introduce you to our Board Members.

Kimberly Stevenson (Board Member, President, and Founder) was born and raised in Seymour,and has been doing volunteer work for the past 30+years with several groups including the North Texas Children’s Aid Society, Boy Scouts of America, Seymour Pink Ladies, and the American Red Cross. In 2021 she decided to turn her focus locally to help bring something special to those around her.

Daniel Huskamp (Board Member) moved to Seymour about 7 years ago and has been active in the community through working with The Seymour Rodeo Association and then moving their focus to help volunteering with Seymour Helping Hands. Daniel in the past has assisted in Hurricane relief in Louisiana, as well as other storm damaged areas. He is a Marine Veteranworks diligently to assist any way he can with Veteran projects.

Rick (Secretary) and Kimberly Hill (Board Member, Interim Vice President) are very active in all activities within Seymour Helping Hands. Rick worked with the Seymour PD for 15 years and now works for the SISD. His wife Kimberly came here 13 years ago from Germany and is known to most as the “Lunch Lady”. She started volunteering with Rick so that she could help work toward the Youth Center and other projects to give back to the wonderful kids she sees each day as a member of SISD.

Christina Riley (Board Member) was born and raised in Seymour Texas. She has been doing volunteer work since the age of fourteen years old and was excited to get to help with Seymour Helping Hands. You can find Christina on the board for SHH, usually out assisting with most projects.

Dylan Riley(Board Member) is originally from Irons, Michigan. He has lived in Seymour for four years and wanted to give back to the community. He began volunteering with Seymour Helping Hands before its official founding and has since become a member of the board.

Russell Smalts (Board Member) is a Veteran of both the US Air Force and US Army. While originally from Oklahoma he has called Seymour his home since 2008 and has been volunteering in different capacities since he was young. Most people know him from his time working as the Manager at Allsups, but in his retirement Russ has chosen to step up and continue to support his community by volunteering with SHH.

Laura Nix Evans (Board Member, Treasurer) has lived in Seymour for 17 years. She has been a business woman and volunteers locally with multiple groups. She is a devoted grandmother and loves to spend time with her family. She is passionate about her work with the Whiteside Museum and loves to see the new exhibits that are brought into Seymour there.

Donna Coody (Board Member) grew up in Seymour, and graduated from SHS in 1988. She has a history of volunteerism with animal rescue organizations, and children’s organizations. Even though Donna no longer resides in Seymour she was excited to join Seymour Helping Hands and has been instrumental since the early days with helping to organize the group and plan events. Her favorite event that she never misses is the Spring Fling.

Rebecca Dickson (Board Member) moved to Seymour in January, 2017. She is the mother of three and owns and operates The Vintage Gypsy Emporium. Her husband is a farmer and the two own several rental properties in Baylor County. During the wheat harvest season you can find her at her desk as the Office Manager for Bomarton Coop. She loves to stay busy.
