Seymour Helping Hands Community Center is excited to announce the launch of a Grade Incentive Drawing program designed to reward academic success and encourage student progress throughout the school year. The program is open to all Seymour ISD students in grades K–12 and aims to celebrate both achievement and improvement in the classroom.
At the end of each reporting period, students can bring in a copy of their report card to the Community Center to be entered into a drawing for fun and educational prizes. Here’s how the entries work:
Grades of 90 and above will earn two entries per subject.
Grades of 80–89 will earn one entry per subject.
Prizes include trips to exciting destinations such as:
Urban Air Adventure Park
The Deep End in Wichita Falls, Texas
Whiteside Museum of Natural History
Castaway Cove Waterpark
But that’s not all. Starting after the first six-week reporting period, Helping Hands is adding a Second Chance Drawing to celebrate improvement. If a student brings up any grade that was below 70 by three or more points in the next reporting period (until passing is reached), they’ll earn one entry per improved grade.
This program is about more than grades—it’s about encouraging consistency, celebrating growth, and reinforcing that effort matters. Whether your child is a straight-A student or working hard to bring up their scores, there’s a chance for everyone to be recognized.
Seymour Helping Hands encourages families and educators to support students in participating. For more information, questions, or to request flyers, please contact:
