September has been a month full of energy, excitement, and community at Seymour Helping Hands! We’re always grateful for the support that makes these moments possible, and we’re excited to share just a few of the highlights from this past month.
A Big Win – Stevie Award Recipient
We are thrilled to announce that Seymour Helping Hands was nominated for a Stevie Award—and we won in our category! This recognition shines a light on the work being done right here in our community and celebrates the impact that volunteers, supporters, and neighbors make possible every day.
Ongoing Support – AA/NA Meetings
Every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m., Seymour Helping Hands continues to host AA/NA meetings. These gatherings provide encouragement, accountability, and a safe place for those in recovery. We are proud to help provide a space for healing and community.
Classes & Activities for All Ages
Fall Mat Class – Our fall mat class was a huge success, giving participants a chance to strengthen, stretch, and enjoy some wellness time together.
Arts & Crafts Fun – The kids had an absolute blast during our arts and crafts class! September’s theme brought out their spooky side as they created their very own scary ghost pictures. The creativity and laughter filled the room!
Senior Socials Get a New Name
This month’s Senior Social featured a fun recipe swap with plenty of good food, good stories, and good company. Based on feedback, we want these gatherings to feel welcoming to everyone in our community—not just seniors. That’s why we’re excited to share that going forward, they’ll be known as Community Socials!
At Seymour Helping Hands, every month brings new opportunities to connect, support, and celebrate our community. Thank you to everyone who participates, volunteers, and spreads the word about our programs—you’re the reason these events are such a success!
