Fire Alarm Program

Seymour Helping Hands and the American Red Cross have partnered together to bring fire safety to the minds and homes of Baylor County residents! Since November 18th twenty two homes have had smoke detectors installed by SHH volunteers!

This is a free program sponsored by the American Red Cross that helps to place smoke detectors in homes. The smoke detectors have a 10 year battery and emit a loud beep when smoke is detected in the residence. Texas leads the nation in house fire deaths with over 1,600 people being killed yearly in house fires.

The goal is to ensure that every home in Seymour is safe and has a working smoke detector! It is not too late to sign up to receive yours. If you are interested in having a smoke detector placed in your home please contact Seymour Helping Hands. We will ensure that we get them to you.
