SHH and Texas Agrilife are teaming up to help feed Seymour! In March and April Texas Agrilfe helped to conduct classes on creating and growing gardens. They encouraged community members to start a community garden and that is just what they did.
Volunteers worked together to create a special garden space and then planted tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, peppers, okra, squash, and zucchini. They will work the garden until harvest and then share the fruits of their labors with others in the community.
If you would like to find out how to volunteer with SHH and help in the Community Garden please contact them at 940-366-5212
